The Ethical Stone Company specialises in stone that is responsibly and sustainably sourced. We supply stone for a wide range of interior projects including: paving/landscape, interior floor and wall tiling, exterior/interior cladding, worktops and bartops. Our commitment to provenance and integrity of source means that our stone is:
- Fully traceable
- Lower in CO2 emissions during extraction and working
- Governed by laws that ensure the wellbeing of stone workers
- Quarried in a way that limits the long-term environmental impact
Through our BRE Accredited Professional we source mainly from smaller scale European quarries. By doing so, we can also bring niche and more unusual stone products to market whilst minimising the carbon footprint and wider impact on the environment. We make a point of visiting and vetting every quarry we source from, and can also take our clients to the very face from which their stone is cut. We don’t just rely on third parties to assess the traceability of our stone, but prefer to guarantee professional business practice and ethical standards by verifying for ourselves. This way, we can offer our customers 100% quality assurance on all levels of our service. We are also able to assist in sourcing to BES 6001 Standards.
Our passionate commitment to provenance and ethical business practice shapes the way we trade with our suppliers and customers. We believe this is the way all business should be done. Whether you choose Ethical Stone for a public, commercial or home project – you can be sure that the wellbeing of workers and concern for the environment is at the heart of what we do.
